This is a report based on the transport and the building design assessment. The complete discussion in this report is based on the land development but the main focus is to deep observation on the transportation plan of the roadways shown in the map. The reason behind this kind of assessment is to make a clear view of the general movement of the vehicles. What is the need of such kind of assessment is very important before going forward to this report. When there is a development in the land for making any kind of residential complex then we have to be very much careful about the safety of the general public and the easiest way of different activities like parking, walking area and all. The reason behind such kind of assessment particularly for this case is due to the presence of the three sided roadways around the acquired place. For such kind of scenario if the public staying on the residential complex on that place then the several kind of problems may occur like the parking for the vehicles, the walking place around the building so for all of these a very useful designing and planning is required so that we can get the most optimal solution of that project.

Methodology:

At the time of performing such kind of assessment there are some kind of mechanism or methodology should be followed so that the optimal solution can be found for the designing plan of the transportation roadways and the various movement of the vehicle in the connected roadways also. To find out the different positions utilizing in the building place there are so many effects on the roadway designing scheme. Since, we are not able to change the design and the direction of the roadway map, so we have to make a feasible design of the residential complex so that the utilization will be an optimal solution.

The steps are to be followed for this kind of assessment will be something like this,

  • We have to make a proper design plan of the place where client intend to make a residential building.
  • Positioning of the parking area in the building we are intend to make.
  • With the help of the positioning of the parking area we should plan the entrance of the building.
  • When we will design the entrance position of the building then the most important thing is to be taken into consideration the less congested area for it.
  • The entrance of the building should be at any corner of the total place we have.
  • As we can see the two adjacent roadways are available on that place so we need to choose the appropriate entrance by evaluating the amount of traffic, we have to choose the road having lesser number of traffic.
  • For the pavement of the building can be used as a walking free space for the people staying there, so we have to ensure the mist optimum positioning of the pavement outside the building so that it can be termed as completely safe position from the roadways.

Transport Assessment:

For the preparation of the building development scheme just beside the adjacent roadway we need a transport assessment. The transport assessment (TA) is needed if there are some significant impacts of the transportation on a local building or residential design plan. The scope and the detail parameters of transportation assessment are vary with the site location, scale and nature of development.

For the ease of the solution on the context of travel assessment one of the most important this is to evaluate the actual scenario of the public transport on various aspects and the movements of the transportation medium with the help of roadway mapping. This particular part of the assignment is basically classified into some parts like, existing site information, baseline transport data, public transport assessment, walking/ cycling assessment, road network assessment, traffic data and traffic forecast assessment, also the accident analysis and accident forecasting for the safety parameters. If we make a clear and detail discussion on the various classifications on this part them the concept will be mire clear to the reader.

For the existing site data it is completely based on the site position only. The roadways cannot be changed with the actual requirement but the building or the site planning can be change before any construction work. So the site planning with the help of the location of various important places is the first preference.

On the baseline transport data we need to make an assessment on the basis of the transportation data and a critical analysis. This kind of analysis can be performed with the help of the data acquisition system. With the help of data acquisition system we will be able to find out the actual frequency of traffic on the roadways mapping.

If we have to consider the walking and cycling assessment too for the given transportation assessment then also the site selection along with the pavement design at the adjacent sides of the side will be best option. For that reason with the help of the data acquisition system we need to carry out a survey so that the actual traffic can be evaluated.

When we will be done with the traffic data collection of that particular junction of the roadway map there we can have also a forecasting of the traffic in that particular region.

With the help of all the data acquisition system and the methodology the location of the site can be evaluated so that we can make a proposal for that particular land. The exact communication of that place from different regions plays a huge role on the site selection and the project undertaking. On the basis of that any further design scheme is to be prepared.

Travel Plan:

At the time of performing a transportation assessment then travel planning is a unique and important topic to be discussed. As the assignment brief says, we have to consider a particular place for this project. The main motive is to check the feasible option available on that particular region, and the possible usage of the place we are considering. To become familiar with all this things we need to check the travel plan first then only we can decide the actual usage of the site. The site is given in the assignment is kind of a rectangular shaped site with two sided road and at the corner point there is a junction in the roadway mapping.

In this part we have shown the various travels planning from the site and that will definitely help the user to access any of the different places in the map.

As we have marked all the possible ways to evaluate the travel planning with the map so it is very clear to all of us how we will be able to make a feasible option for the access of the given site in different condition. This kind of travel planning will help a lot for the selection of the site as well as in the BIM management also the travel planning can help a lot in designing of the constructions on that particular site. The selection of the entrance and exit with some another extra exit points are also shown in this figure to show the possibilities. We all know that, the selection of the entry and exit is the most important thing for the development of a site considering its adjacent transportation planning. The reason behind it is, a proper selection of the entry, exit and parking will be helpful for the travelling purpose also and to avoid the jam in the roadways some of the additional alternative options should be there for the easy accessibility of different places without using main roadways, those are also marked in the map for better understanding.

This is all about the travel planning we have to consider for the selection of such kind of site with the betterment of the accessibility to different region in terms of transportation management.

Outline Designs:

Regarding the transportation assessment when we need to evaluate a site for any kind of construction, then a design outline is a necessary topic. Without a proper and detail discussion of the land positioning and the roadway map it is not possible to find out the optimal solution for constructing anything on the site we have taken into consideration.

The outline design is basically based on the selection of the site and a better arrangement of different things like parking, entrance, exit and walking area also many more. We should always make some kind of possibility so that we may not compromise the transportation facilities at any circumstances the reason behind it is, the entire project and report is completely based on the transportation and travel management studies. So, the assurance a most suitable condition is our first priority here. For this outline design concept the need of the transportation assessment is due to the requirement of suitable travel flow throughout the roadways shown in the map. For actual understanding of the positioning of different things in the site as per the transportation methodologies the map is given for this project. As per the requirement we have made an outline design to show the best option for this particular case study.

As the last part of the report we can only conclude the various principals of transportation management and its assessment. We have found out various aspects on the designing of a construction site for a particular purpose. There are different kinds of methodologies are available in the selection of a construction or residential site. Among some of the features the transportation ability of that particular place is one of the most important things for any assessment. For this requirement a thorough investigation, research is required. We have also done the same with the help of lots of research papers and the conclusion is just shown in the above figures. How we will be able to apply all rules and regulation to get the suitable condition without compromising anything is stated in this report.
