Indian Culture:

Considering the Indian culture, my understanding has identified that Indian culture is totally consisted with several traditions and customs. According to Hinüber (2008), if the tradition can be followed at the proper direction, it cannot create any hindrance towards the progress. The Indian culture has been shaped through the history of India. I have learned that there are the high customary and traditional practices which are followed in the Indian culture generation after generation. The Indians are proud because of its culture.  Often many foreign employees face the confusion and tension at the workplace due to the lack of proper awareness regarding proper Indian tradition and culture. Indian tradition leads to celebrate all religious activities along with the cultural festivals with the friends, neighbours and families. The right approach is followed to the marriage and also for death in any Indian family. I have also obtained the information that the joint family tradition is still followed in the Indian society as the part of its culture. Although the joint families could lead to the disrupt and chaos, at the time of any crisis, all family members together solve the situation by sitting together. I have also gained the knowledge that India is consisted of several religions who are prospering and intermingling without any bias over the ages. Moreover, the Indian culture can be considered to be unique and rich through its own ways.

Medical Laboratory Technician:

I have realised the medical laboratory technician are serving as the important person in the modern medical clinic or the hospitals. The medical laboratory technician has the responsibility for making the diagnoses including the examination of the body fluids, cells and blood matching for the transfusions. In this regard, I have learnt that this job needs the knowledge for using the sophisticated laboratory equipment.  I have also identified several areas which are needed to be covered by medical laboratory technicians, such as clinical chemistry, immunology, blood banking, cytotechnology, coagulation, serology, drug efficiency tests and others. Through the continuous advancement in the medical technology, the lab work has become highly analytical for the medical laboratory technicians (Agardh et al. 2013). Therefore, I have been able to understand that the technicians’ work in the medical laboratory needs the excellent judgement skills. There are various types of critical procedures are linked with the medical laboratory technologists. Hence, such technicians are required to possess a proper bachelor’s degree. The technicians who are holding such associate degree can only work under technologists’ supervisions. I have also identified that due to the steady development and growth of the new lab tests, there is the strong growth in the job market for the medical laboratory technicians as the crucial profession. My understanding about this profession is that if anyone is interested about the medical science, testing analysing things in practical, then this kind of job is highly suitable for that candidate.
